Squamscott - this color of chalked paint is named for the Swampscott that takes its name from the Squamscott people who, in turn, called it Msquam-s-kook (or Msquamskek) or 'big water place.' The color celebrates the lush marshes thick vegetation that made this area home to generations of Native Americans. The Squamscott is a bright blue-green tidal river in southeastern New Hampshire that flows from Newfields to Stratham to Great Bay, reflecting the sky.
